Go to Knoxville Museum of Art — FREE and then head to Panera for dinner, dessert, and good conversation — $35–$40
Did you know that East Tennessee is
full of history? Head out to South Knox County to Governor John Sevier’s Home
at Marble Springs. There are things to do all year long from a spooky festival

Dollywood isn’t just for Summer! Take
a quick trip to sevier County to enjoy the Christmas lights and other holiday

will not want to miss Shadrack’s Christmas light show. This amazing sight takes
over the parking lot at Smokies Park for a one of a kind light show experience!

Get together with another couple because it is just $15 per car! On your
way home drive through some neighborhoods to find homegrown light displays.
Stop at Perkins or Waffle House for a late night treat before going home. $35
for light show and food.
Pack a picnic and head out to Parkway Drive-In

Make sure that you have your favorite drinks and movie snacks to make it
through all three movies. Don't forget blankets and camping chairs so you can
set up outside of your car. $40
Grab two
couples and enjoy a day canoeing the Tennessee River with knowledgeable guides
from IJAMS Nature Center. http://www.ci.knoxville.tn.us/recreation/canoeing.asp This is a
bit more expensive, but is worth it for a cool day on the water. You’ll want
to bring water to drink, a hat to keep cool and sun block.
After working so hard out on the water, you’ll want to hit up the closest ice
cream shop and talk about your favorite parts of the adventure. $20/each for
canoe trip and $5/each for ice cream.
Nothing says Summer like grabbing a
baseball game! Enjoy a Smokies baseball game http://tennessee.smokies.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t553 for as little as $5 each if you sit in the
grass. So bring a blanket and a glove in hopes of catching a home run. $20 for
four people + food or snacks.
Get your group of friends together and go on a bike ride or hike across the Knoxville Greenway or check out the Knox County Greenways. You should be able to see a lot of trees with great Fall colors! Guys can bring lunch supplies (or even the table!) and girls can bring drinks. $20
Bring cameras to take pictures and go get a dessert as a treat for when you've finished the trail. $20
Lastly, be safe, do this during daylight hours.
Head out to Blounty County for lunch Tomato Head and the wander in downtown Maryville as well as along the Maryville Greenways. While you are it, check out the Maryville library. $40-50
The Market Square Farmer's Market happens every Saturday from April - November from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Grab a coffee at Starbucks and then head to Market Square. Explore the Farmer's Market together looking at all of the yummy produce as well as local crafts. Next, assign split up and everyone has to find something for $5 or less that reminds them of their date. Meet up in 20 minutes and then everyone has to explain why they made their purchase. It is a great way to get to know each other. $40 including coffee!
Go to Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) to serve breakfast. After serving, take your group to the mountains and hike the Chimneys (take lunch for the trail). Stop in Gatlinburg for funnel cakes on the way back from hiking--$6-8 if you share.
